For as long as I can remember I have always had a strong and burning desire to be active, feel healthy and have abundant energy. Let’s face it, there’s so much to do and so much life to live.

I was always pretty healthy… I ate well, I took care of myself, and I guess I just never pictured myself struggling to lose weight.
So when I wanted to lose a few kilos I adopted my usual approach to just up-the-ante, increase my training load and cut-out sugar and desserts. I just thought the weight would come off like it usually did. I mean,energy in vs energy out, that’s how it works right?

Well, no. After weeks of training harder and cutting back my energy intake, I was feeling tired, frustrated, bloated and was putting on more weight.

So having already trained as a Personal Trainer, I went back to my manuals to see what I was doing wrong. There was very little on diet it was mostly exercise and how to create fitness programs.

So I started researching diets and eating plans online and in books.

Here’s where the story get’s interesting…

I don’t know about you… but pretty quickly I had an overwhelming information-overload!

Don’t get me wrong… there was a lot of great information, but it was spread out all over the place… across so many different websites and books

PLUS — it seemed most of the info didn’t fit my specific needs…

I felt more lost and confused than before I started…

Surely I should be able to eat a sandwich for lunch without putting on weight?
